The Advetage Solutions team is looking to add Health Physicists & Nuclear Engineers to our team! We are looking for people with demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to radiologic and/or nuclear materials derived challenges in environmental, energy production, or national security fields. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise to projects performing environmental assessments as well as research in methodologies, codes, and software tools used to conduct radiological dose assessments, atmospheric dispersion, and fate and transport of radionuclides associated with releases or potential releases from radiological sources.

The successful candidate will participate on multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers conducting environmental assessments and research on or for existing nuclear and/or radiologically controlled facilities, energy and security infrastructure, and emergency response and preparedness programs. Experience with environmental and safety reviews in support of NRC licensing and DOE permits is highly recommended.

The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following technical tasks with the level of quality, timeliness, and cost, to meet required project and client expectations:

Support interdisciplinary teams on multiple projects related to health physics environmental reviews and modeling.

Perform as a subject matter expert or task lead for various technical elements of environmental and safety reviews for nuclear applications (e.g., health physics, decommissioning, nuclear fuel cycle, transportation, emergency preparedness and accidents).

Demonstrate proficiency in the application (and modification if necessary) of health physics codes used for licensing, operation, and decommissioning actions by the NRC, DOE, and other federal agencies.

Support the development and application of guidance and standards needed to ensure the safe and secure expansion of nuclear energy and management of nuclear materials.

Participate in proposal and business development efforts leading to new or expanded projects and business opportunities.

Contribute to the development of new programmatic and staffing strategies to maintain and grow our critical capabilities.
